Welcome to Release #5 in the limited-edition Stone & Wood Barrel Aged Series – the Cherry Saison. Infused with pureed black cherries, this Farmhouse Ale has been resting since December 2022 in ex Chardonnay barrels that were then used to house Whiskey, before our Saison. This complex beauty delivers peppery and fruity esters, with a subtle funk, and rich cherry and bold oak notes.

THE FINER DETAILS

HOPS

EKG were used for both bittering and as a late boil addition, but most of the hop character has faded during the aging process.

MALT

This Cherry Saison was brewed with Ale, Pilsner, Vienna and Munich malts.

FOOD PAIRING

This style of Saison would pair well with Asian inspired dishes, as well as a nice charcuterie board focusing on French-style blue cheeses.
